As I bite into the buttery toast with a scramble on top, I am enveloped by memories of eating eggs on toast as a child. I am also instantly sent to my Nana’s apartment in England where we would have “soldiers,” which were strips of toast for dipping in to a soft-boiled egg.

There are certain foods that can send to a specific place or time in your life when you had them a lot – I am really glad to have eaten something that brings me home with my family both in the states and the UK 🙂
