I have been working at a new animal hospital for almost two full weeks now and I really like it!

The doctors are nice and the environment is more calm

The other VAs are helpful and I feel successful for little things or even big things

I am still working at drawing blood, can flash the vein more often now and drew blood quickly once last week 🙂

There is a rotation for which doctors I work with which is interesting and some have been help in the room while others are more hands-on away from the clients

I like the hustle and bustle of making meds, completing the charts, talking to clients. It flows nicely on busy days

We had a very slow day last week with only one doctor and she had surgeries most of the day which involve the RVT and higher-up VAs. I didn’t feel too great with a scratchy throat so it was fine sitting and relaxing mostly (I also worked on school prep and signed up for benefits to be productive)

After Saturday, which was very short-staffed (only me and one other VA!), it was necessary to have a slow day to balance it out.

Hope it stays with this vibe and things don’t shift negatively but you never know! I’m just gonna keep at it
