She knew then, today was the day.

She won’t walk left into a door, BUT STRAIGHT.

Society forced her long enough to choose a path by Them.

Those doors to the left could only lead to a disgusting life.

Each one opened up into immense hallways that filled her with despair.

Day in, day out. Never doubting, never turning away.

Until now.

She saw a glint of hope when she stepped down this corridor. Even though it was one of the many she had always walked through, something felt different.

She could swear she saw a new reflection beyond the glass. Something has to be out there!

She wasn’t imagining it.

With each step forward, she could feel Them creeping closer from the open hallways.

Them were always around the corner, just observing for Hersia.

She just had to face forward and make her feet move all the way up to the glass.

Them were directly behind her now. Almost close enough to grab but still at a good distance.

With only a few more paces, her heartbeat swelled through her veins.

The glass fell away around her as she disappeared from Them.

Forever.
