I just signed up for the 19th annual March Slice of Life Challenge from Two Writing Teachers Blog!
It asks how many years you have participated, and I just tallied 9 times that 31 days of March were recorded on my current blog 🙂 And 1 time from my first blog back in 2015!
My life has shifted so much from graduate school in 2017 to now in grad school again but to become a vet tech.
I have moved states, have new pets, and new relationships with life starting over in many ways.
2024 was a big year for a lot of the shifting from big life changes so I barely touched my blog that year (just one post discussing my anxiety “Finding calm amidst the chaos”)
I am really glad to have been blogging since 2017 on Hannah’s Happenings 🙂 it was 2014 during graduate school for teaching where my first ever blog came to be as Newteachrtips!
Anyways, looking forward to completing the March SOL Challenge again this year!
It sounds like a LOT has happened to you over the last year or so. I went back to your Finding Calm post. I enjoyed that very much – wait, not enjoyed exactly. Maybe I mean I identified with it very much!
I have been working on being more balanced (2025) and centered (2026). It is definitely a work in progress! Glad you are back!

Im touched that you identified with it.(Hopefully nothing too stressful for you of course since the post was a tougher subject). And thank you for taking the time to read it!That’s not usually the goal with my writing but definitely a plus 🙂 Whatever is ebbing and flowing – we got this!

I too love that my “blogging life” is a record of the many life and priority changes that happen in one’s life! I’ve been Slicing since 2012!!! YIKES!

Wow! Ten years of daily blogging is impressive. I’m thinking of joining in for the first time this year, my first year of blogging.

It’s always been a fun thing to do! 31 days straight 🙂 This year I’m also blogging every day for 365 (done that a couple times and was inspired by another blog challenge years ago)

Blogging for 365 is a huge quest!

What I love about SOL is how I can look back and it’s like reading my journal. And belonging to a writing community with writing challenges, we are more accountable. I joined in 2016 but like you, I also took a break due to major things going on in my personal life. See you in March.

One of the coolest parts of blogging is looking back at how much life has changed! It’s especially potent if you take a year or two off in between. Sounds like you’ve got a lot of exciting things happening now and plenty to write about 🙂
