I know the March SOL has finished since it is now April, BUT I started 8 days late into the challenge of blogging for 31 days. So I want to complete my 31 straight days on my own! This is day 7 of the 8 remaining April posts.

When I was getting ready this morning, i noticed that the calendar in the bathroom was still set to March. Once I flipped it to April, i was in awe! The current calendar has paintings done by Nathan’s grandfather. And they are all very beautifully done, but something about the colors and reflection in the water is just stunning 🙂 The paintings are all of Oregon landmarks (many in his hometown).

Every time I look at amazing (but amateur) paintings, I always wish i had the same talent and was more artistic. It just seems like a lovely past time, and you get to capture memories in a new way. But i have never been inclined with painting or drawing – quite the opposite really ha! My drawings still consist of stick figures and generic shapes or lines. I know you can learn how to draw and paint, but it does take a lot of time and practice. At the moment, i am not sure where it would fit in my already back-to-back busy life. Maybe one day when things have settled more, i can take up painting. It often interests me as something i would like to do; however, a natural ability would make the hobby easier!
