I know the March SOL has finished since it is now April, BUT I started 8 days late into the challenge of blogging for 31 days. So I want to complete my 31 straight days on my own! This is day 8 of the 8 remaining posts 🙂 I have officially completed the challenge of blogging for an entire month!

I completed the #blogaday which was 365 straight days, but that was quite a few years ago now, and before this year’s March SOL, I was only blogging once every couple weeks – with my new blog, I really want to make it a fun habit to discuss the various “happenings.” 

In case you haven’t realized from my blog (with the songs on the side and a WHOLE PAGE focusing on it), I love music. Concerts are such a fun experience, and I have been lucky enough to be able to go to one or two, and some months three shows! Starting tonight, Nathan and I have two evenings of concerts! They are going to be very different from each other in a variety of ways. We are seeing Reggie Watts tonight and Mitski on Sunday 😮 I can’t be more stoked! 

Reggie Watts, if you don’t know, is a comedian who uses his voice and technology to create loops and sings or raps over them – I have a live recording of one of his shows on vinyl, and it is just hilarious! He has quite a personality. While Mitski, on the other hand, is a very mellow “indie pop” artist. Her songs encapsulate the challenges she has faced in America as an Asian woman – the lyrics and melodies just sucked me in from the minute I heard her played on All Songs Considered 🙂 I am very excited for this weekend and the differing performances we will encounter.

I wrote this on the 8th, but I had a back=to-back day and the activities went late into the evening so I wasn’t able to actually post it until today.
