This is in response to prompt 2 from Procrastinators Weekly Writing Prompt. I chose the song title “Nighttime Hunger” by Overcoats to inspire my post today.
I am the nighttime hunger lurking before bed.
Forcing you to question whether you have been fed.
The dinner you ate feels eons ago
When the snacks you crave are all you know.
Popcorn, oatmeal, toast galore
Your stomach must need more.
Some nights you can resist
And others the food can’t be missed.
I am the nighttime hunger lurking before bed.
Will you starve or is it all in your head?
Loved your post, Hannah. Must look up this song, what a great title, Nighttime Hunger.

I don’t know the song, can imagine what topic itight cover and I’m thinking not food. But I love your version and have to say, I have considered getting up right before I fall asleep because some goodies beckoned. I resist, at least most of the time .

I can do relate! Oatmeal or cereal for me. It’s hard to resist.

I know that feeling too well, and far too often I cave in. But I’m working on stopping that.
