Here’s the mail
It never fails
Except I didn’t order a thing
When it comes I wanna wail

Yesterday I received a small package which could have been a fun surprise!
I opened it and was sheepish about maybe ruining the fun surprise.
It was an engagement ring.
I put it back with my boyfriends mail
And waited.
I told him when he got home, I opened something I probably shouldn’t.
He was just as confused seeing the ring.
He didn’t order it.
After asking some of his family,
I googled the company and mailing rings.
There is a scam going around!
They want you to scan the QR code to get access to phone for passwords and saved info.
They get your address and name from hacking in to USPS. Hmmmm
Makes me feel creeped out that they got my name and address

I saw your title and immediately smiled because who wouldn’t think of Blue’s Clues? I was happy to see exactly what I was thinking… BUT THE WAY MY JAW DROPPED! Wow. I’m glad you can find humor in the surprise!

What a terrible scam! I’m glad to know about it. I love how you made the story unfold–finding the package, and worrying that you spoiled an exciting surprise…..and then admitting it to your boyfriend and finding out that he hadn’t bought it. (Sounds disappointing. Hope you were able to laugh about it.)
