After our lovely week in Montepulciano, we ventured less than two hours into Florence.

Only my immediate family stayed for this extended weekend so we said our goodbyes to cousins (until next time of course!).

Florence instantly had a different feel, more of a big city bustling with people.

I’ve been here before, once as a young child and once in my early 20s with a friend, so didn’t need to hit up all the touristy spots.

We stayed fairly close to one of the main Piazzas as well as the Duomo so we could walk everywhere!

The Duomo really makes you feel tiny! It is so vast and looks different from every angle!!

Simply walking around is beautiful and feels remarkable. Even though it’s a city, something about it just seems quiet.

Had an amazing week and a half out of town resetting – and now back at for finals in a few weeks and work-mode!
