Could write a narrative as the life of a roley-poley?
Eh.
Made sense when I saw them this morning inside the classroom but now…
What about the silly dream with your kitten Pip swimming down the Long Beach channels?
Nah.
The effort and imagination needed is too much!
Studying for chem?
That’s been my actual life for a few hours every day.
Too dull.
How time flies when having fun but goes slow when waiting in between my classes today?
Ugh.
Nothing feels right.
Make a fun back and forth with yourself debating what to write?
Success! Often those ideas we discard with our judgey self-critic can be clever put together and voila , a Slice.

Those inner arguments can be brutal! I am glad you found a way to write!

I like this! These idea fragments are your small moment! And, put together, they do capture you, right here and now. I wonder how you might feel if you re-read this piece after time has passed? I think it might say as much to you as a “regular” piece.
