I excitedly looked up at the two birds on the edge of the nest.

Their stares focused on the tree across from the lamppost.

“I bet they are almost fledging!” I thought

As I looked down at the dogs so I wouldn’t intimidate the birds, one soared off the nest!!

I immediately turned my head to see it angled feet first, talons ready to grip the tree it was zooming towards.

Nature is amazing 🙂

(The other one decided that it wanted to wait a bit longer and settled on the nest again)
