I LOVE the nostalgia of tape cassettes!

They bring me back to childhood when I was obsessed with books on tape for car rides or flights.

My dad also would make mixtapes with our favorite songs so I could vibe 🙂

The local record store near my parents creates very unique mixtapes, which have themes (like Jamaican soul or pop from around the world) with not well-known artists.

I’ve been getting some in my stocking at Xmas for years since my dad knew I would appreciate the discoveries!

One of my record players can also play tape cassettes – yes I do have two record players haha! *One was free when a neighbor moved out*

I’m excited to play the new cassettes I bought while visiting this weekend, and replaying some of the other ones I have! Since there are so many songs and styles, I don’t remember what I liked on first listen AND my mood can definitely change what pops out to me each time 🙂
