On Sound Opinions this weekend, they were doing an album review of the group, Rookie. I had never heard of them and instantly was head-banging and wanting to replay the songs! They are a Chicago-based rock band whose sound is like Cheap Trick and other bands from that era. I really dig it and needed something with this intensity right now : ) I feel like many bands are putting out slow thoughtful songs to reflect and resonate, but I need something to let me go crazy while listening.
