On our walk this morning, the girl I nanny for mentioned that a truck we saw was dirty and her mom brought up washing cars.
She got really excited to wash that truck – but of course, we can’t wash a random car on the street 😮 ha!
So her mom talked about washing Hannah’s car and her own car with a bucket and sponge and using the hose. I thought Gigi would forget about it by the time we got home but she was so ready 🙂
We ended up washing my car and her dad came out to wash the parents’ cars. She scrubbed the headlights and got in the tires and was so focused on getting it clean.
It reminded me of when I used to wash the cars as a kid and how fun it is for them.
As adults we tend to forget the simple joys that kids love… when does washing a car turn from fun into a chore?
