Diario Italiano II: Strategies for successful flights

I’m currently bumping some pop dance music to stay awake after nearly 24 hours up..!

It got me thinking about how everyone handles flights and the different things that work for each person.

I need to stay awake and take strong anti-nausea pills at the beginning of each flight and sometimes in the middle if it’s long. I also need to keep eating like every 30 mins to hour so my body is fine eating the in-flight meals served at weird times.

I started my longer journey today to Italy with music and texting friends via the WiFi on the plane. Then moved on to the shows I downloaded but when my laptop died (charging issue), I put on movies – luckily we only had about 2 hours left.

Now, the jet lag is starting to kick in more with it being 4 am back home and I’m up because it’s 1 pm here.

I was fading with my eyes closing at the lounge area, but I ate more snacks and just put on music I like to bop around to.

After this 2 hour flight, we then have about 2 hour drive and then we are finally there with my mom and dad which is very exciting!
