As the rain pours outside, a sense of calm fills within me
The constant pitter patter slows my breath
The heater humming in the background
Two cats and a dog relaxed in the apartment
Everything is at peace
This morning with canceled class is a blessing
No stress with school just yet
The few hours of work at the end of the day won’t stir up much either

Around here those are usually snow days… was this weather related? I hope it was not cancelled for flooding or anything serious. But days off are always nice!

It was canceled due to Presidents Day so nothing worrying. I’ve never had a snow day – even when I lived in Oregon, I had to drive to work or school (with blackouts) haha!
