It always intrigues me how often cats lie in the sun. They must enjoy the warmth on their fur, and being able to snooze. I like to personify their action and pretend they are trying to get tan!
Patches has turned multiple directions while sitting in front of the balcony door in order to even out his “browning.” He is waiting until he feels too warm and then backs away a little bit. He forgot his sunglasses, so must close his eyes when tanning his face and tummy.

Our cats (and the cheetah) also enjoy the sun….we call it “solaring”. Paladin has one special spot and that is where he always caught his sun at in all of the four years we have been together.
