Today’s question is first memory that comes to your mind.
Running around outside in the tall grass
Laughing and playing chase
Loving the feeling of the grass on my bare feet
Little toddler legs not moving too fast
Smiles all around
Then smile turns into shock
Pain
And finally, crying
Smiles turn to worry
My foot hurts so bad..!
What happened to the fun grass?
Ouch…there is something stuck in my foot
Bumblebees become a fear
and enemy
and memory.
Please share a memory that comes to your mind in the comments 🙂
Such a nice poem that tells a story, memory, and enemy! My memory that comes to my mind right now is the last day of school with my students IN THE CLASSROOM on Friday, March 13. Yes, Friday the 13th. It was such a memorable year. Two more days to the real end of this school year!

I love this! My thought is to an early memory of going to the Iowa State Fair with my parents and sister. I remember walking the midway and it was hot, but then I was sitting on mats of some kind stacked up getting first aid for a dart that hit me. All I remember is pain and crying. A very small memory, but very vivid. This is the first year the fair will be cancelled since WWII. 😥

Thank you 🙂 That is a great and intense memory! Did you need stitches? I’m so sorry that it was cancelled! So many things have been interrupted this year

No stitches, just a bandage and a sucker! 😀

Lollipops make it all better as a child! And often bandaids can make kids calm down as well 🙂
