For St Patrick’s Day last week, my boss wanted to create a traditional Irish dinner of corned beef and cabbage and soda bread.
He had a recipe for corned beef and knew what he wanted for the cabbage, but I mentioned I make soda bread a lot and so it was my task!
I hadn’t made it since 2020 last to be honest, but it is a simpler bread since it doesn’t require a long prove. I have made it many times just not recently.
The recipe is from Paul Hollywood’s book about baking bread.

I involved the boy I nanny, who is six, to help count and read the numbers for the flour.
It was very yummy and we ate it the next day as well with cold corned beef sandwiches 🙂

Oh so delicious!! I wish I had made something Irish for St. Pat’s Day!
