I smell the pine candle in the kitchen, lit to give a homey feel this morning
I hear the ticking of the clock over the rain outside, reminding me that I only have one more hour til work
I see the toys of a cat who warms my heart, moved about the living room to show his nighttime antics
I feel the softness of a blanket that I don’t want to get out from underneath on this cold morning
I taste the sweetness in my morning mocha giving the strength I need for the day

What a great slice. Thank you for the format and invitation. I think I will try it today. I did not want to get out from under the fuzzy warm sheets on my bed this morning, too.

Much like you I was quite comfortable to remain in bed this morning. However, my coffee did make it worth getting up for.
