On my drive home, I was listening to the podcast, Sound Opinions – which is music based. This episode was about “buried treasures.” These are artists that have been around a while but more under the radar or less known than the hosts believe they should be. Today, one who stood out to me is Knxwledge
Knxwledge (click the link to find his music on Bandcamp) is a hip hop and mainly electronic artist. He helped produce To Pimp a Butterfly with Kendrick Lamar and has worked with Anderson Paak. It struck to hear instrumental songs with hip hop beats. I often think of more ambient melodies for solely instrumental works. The song they played was called “Learn” from his album 1988.
Good music!
