After much thought of going back and forth on whether to go visit mom and dad or cancel for health reasons, I have decided to drive up. It is a two day trip when it’s one person so I driving 9.5 hours today and sleeping at a nice hotel then continuing the 4-5 hours tomorrow.
It was too sad to cancel amidst all the virus news and we planned this trip for my spring break a while back (we made the dates a week earlier now but seeing the same was still in our thoughts!)
I’ve got a Jack Reacher audiobook, music, and podcasts to get my through. There is another crime novel for the drive back. I’m off on the road in about thirty minutes after I have some breakfast and get dressed in comfy clothes. It should be an adventure 🙂

Now that the Safer at Home order got issued, I hope you’re driving ok and staying at a safe place already.

I was well out of la when the city shut down and arrived in a different state at the same time that the whole state issued a shut down. I have 4 hours until I arrive at my parents. Thanks for checking in!

I think so! It’s a shelter in place, keeping people in (not out)
